Frequently asked questions.

What is the purpose of this calendar?

This calendar is designed to help all New York Punishers chapters stay informed about rides, events, fundraisers, meetings, and important regional dates across the state.

Who is the calendar for?

The calendar is intended for New York Punishers members, chapters, prospects, and authorized representatives who need to stay updated on chapter and regional events.

What types of events will be listed?

Events may include chapter rides, charity events, fundraisers, memorial rides, meetings, regional events, state-level events, approved outside-club events, and any important date that should be shared with the region.

Who can submit an event?

Each chapter should designate an officer or approved representative to submit events. This keeps the calendar accurate and prevents duplicate or incorrect information.

How do I submit an event?

Use the event submission form on the website and include the event name, date, time, location, hosting chapter, contact person, and any important details.

How far in advance should events be submitted?

Events should be submitted as early as possible. For major rides, fundraisers, or multi-chapter events, chapters should submit details several weeks in advance so other chapters can plan accordingly.

Can events be updated after they are posted?

Yes. If the time, location, details, or status of an event changes, the submitting chapter should request an update as soon as possible.

Who approves events before they go live?

Events should be reviewed by the calendar administrator, regional representative, or designated state communication contact before being published.

Can outside-club events be added?

No

Will private club business be posted on the calendar?

No. The calendar is for event coordination and communication. Private chapter business, internal issues, disciplinary matters, and sensitive club information should not be posted publicly.

Is this calendar public or members-only?

That depends on how the site is set up. Public-facing events can be visible to everyone, while internal meetings or member-only events should be restricted or clearly marked.

What if two chapters have events on the same day?

The calendar is meant to make scheduling conflicts visible early. Chapters should communicate with each other when possible to avoid unnecessary overlap, especially for major regional events.

Can multiple chapters be listed on the same event?

Yes. If an event is hosted, co-hosted, or supported by multiple chapters, all involved chapters should be listed.

What information should every event include?

Every event should include the event title, date, start time, location, hosting chapter, point of contact, event type, and whether it is open to the public, members-only, or invite-only.

What if an event gets canceled?

The hosting chapter should notify the calendar administrator immediately so the event can be marked canceled or removed.

Can recurring events be added?

Yes. Recurring meetings, monthly rides, regular fundraisers, or annual events can be added to the calendar if they are consistent and approved.

Who do I contact if something is wrong on the calendar?

Contact the calendar administrator or designated state communications contact with the corrected information.

Can photos or flyers be attached to events?

Yes, if the website supports it. Flyers should be clear, approved by the hosting chapter, and include accurate event information.

Can this calendar be used to support struggling chapters?

Yes. One of the goals of statewide communication is to help nearby chapters know when support is needed before issues have to escalate further.

Why is this calendar important?

A Regionwide calendar helps improve communication, reduce confusion, prevent scheduling conflicts, increase chapter support, and keep New York Punishers moving as one coordinated region.
